The latest survey by GfK Retail and Technology Office published June 21, 2010 shows a rise of technology radiators inertia (19%) at the expense convectors and other radiant panels.
For its part, the 2005 thermal regulation provides a safeguard on-joule heating effect in discouraging the use of coils for the benefit of radiant panels.
The improved coil (NF Performance Category C) is tolerated in small pieces and must be equipped with an electronically controlled high-quality 6 orders for the building into compliance with RT 2005.
A simplified formula can highlight the differentiated electricity consumption between different types of heat emitters wall:
Consumption Temperature = Setpoint + Temporal Variation (importance of heat waves - in particular, on the effective regulation of the thermostat (CA)) + spatial variations (temperature gradient created by the convection)
A power control increments or inertia that remove heat waves can reduce fuel consumption by 20%. Similarly, a low-temperature heating with high levels of radiation will produce an even heat from floor to ceiling (weak stratification) and reduce power consumption in the same proportions.
If these figures may seem surprising, however, they are audited by study "in vivo" conducted by radiator manufacturers and independent laboratories.
If your house is heated by coils of old poorly regulated, it is possible to reduce the consumption of at least 50% by installing an electric heater built into the frame (PRE, PRI, PRM ...) and more than 30 % with low temperature radiators inertia.
